FAQ
Getting Started
Who is this course for?
This course is built for young adults (18–40) who want to take control of their finances — especially those in rural or working-class communities who may not have access to traditional financial education. You don’t need prior experience or a big paycheck — just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
How long does the course take?
Each module can be completed in about 30–45 minutes, but the real value comes from applying what you learn. You can move at your own pace — and revisit lessons anytime.
How much does the course cost?
The course is $195 for 6-months of access.
Do I need to invest money to start?
No. You can complete the entire course and build your plan without investing a dollar. Once you’re ready, you’ll already have the roadmap — you’ll know where to start, what accounts to use, and how to automate the process.
What tools do I need?
All you need is:
- A copy of the Excel Financial Plan Workbook (included in the course)
- Access to your online banking or investment accounts
- An open mindset and a little time each week.
Financial Advisors and Guidance
Do I need a financial advisor?
Not necessarily. You can manage your own finances using what you’ve learned here. But if you want help, find an advisor who’s transparent about fees and doesn’t sell products.
Types of Advisors:- AUM: Charge a % of your investments (usually 1%)
- Fee-Only: Flat or annual fee, no commissions
- Hourly: Pay only for the time you use
- Advice-Only: Pure planning and education — no product sales
How often should I review my finances?
Once your system is automated, you only need to check in once per year — or when a major life event happens (new job, home, marriage, kids). That annual review keeps everything aligned with your goals.
Longterm Impact
Can I really retire early?
Yes — and people do it every day. If you start early, save consistently, and invest in index funds, your money compounds over time. You don’t need to be wealthy — just start sooner and stay the course.
What’s the main goal of this course?
To help you understand the basics so you can make confident, independent decisions for the rest of your life. Once you know the fundamentals, you can Google smarter, invest wiser, and live freer. You don’t need to know everything — you just need to know enough to keep learning.
